Of course! As soon as you’ve been safely rehoused and/or are able to care for your dog again, contact us and we’ll return your dog to you as soon as possible.  
 
Reuniting dogs with their families is one of the best parts of this project.  

Due to the confidential nature of the Freedom Project, you’re unfortunately unable to visit your dog while they’re being fostered.  
 
However, we’ll send you monthly updates and pictures to let you know how they’re getting on. 

All our foster carers have experience with dogs and go through an application and interview process before they can foster. This includes a home visit and providing references.  

We’ll help to reunite you with your dog however we can.  
 
If you’re unable to take them home, we can arrange for them to find a new home through one of our rehoming centres. Any decision to rehome will, of course, be made together with you.  

Under veterinary advice, we aim to neuter all dogs on the project, free of charge. There may be some cases where this isn’t possible due to the dog’s age or health.

We offer temporary foster placements of up to 6 months, but may be able to offer some short extensions on a case-by-case basis. 
 

No, the service is completely free. We’ll provide everything your dog needs, including food, bedding, treats, toys, collar and lead.

All our foster dogs receive a comprehensive health check when in our care. This includes any necessary treatment like vaccinations, flea and worm, neutering and medication where required. 

Wherever possible we always aim to keep dogs from the same household together.  
In some circumstances, this may not be possible, depending on the dogs’ size or behaviour. We’ll discuss this with you at the time of referral, and we’ll always make sure all dogs are matched to a suitable foster carer.
